Overview
The Leadership Essentials course provides new managers with the foundation to become great leaders by learning and developing a well-rounded and practical leadership skillset. This course prepares participants for their own context; learners leave armed and equipped with a toolbox of personal and interpersonal skills and processes ready to respond to the rapidly evolving world of work.
Who is this course for?
This course is aimed at:
- Managers who are new in their post and need to understand their role as a leader
- Relatively experienced first-level managers and leaders who are looking for new answers to the challenges of their role
- An experienced leader whose context has changed and requires new applications of the skills and behaviours that work in this new context

Course Outline
We start by focusing on you as a leader, exploring your emotional intelligence and your leadership in context.
We then shift into leading others and how influence, power and motivation helps to lead groups.
You then return to your workplace to apply your learning
One month later, working together, your group and facilitator will share experiences, identify topics for practice and use various techniques to refine and improve your skills

Fees
Face-to-Face
Your face-to-face experience starts the evening before your programme as you join your fellow participants for dinner so you can get to know each other. Check-in is available from 2pm, providing you with the option to either work from our venue or take advantage of our leisure facilities. Our bar opens at 6pm and dinner is served in the restaurant at 7.30 pm. Accommodation, meals and materials are all included in the fees.
We can also deliver Leadership Essentials as either an in-house programme for teams or as part of a wider, tailored development programme. For more information please contact us.
Virtual
Technology was once used to facilitate the virtual delivery of our open programmes. Now, technology is used to enhance your learning journey. Through our progressive learning experience programme, MyRoffeyPark, learners have access to the tools, module materials and support whenever and wherever they require – including prework, mindtools and a platform to connect with their peers as well as their facilitators.
At Roffey Park, our purpose is to work with you to support real and sustainable growth; this is not limited solely to face-to-face but through virtual learning, development and consultancy also.
